The gate lock suits that better
This is a door lock. For a gate, our SL-G1 has a 34 mm panel made for narrow gate uprights and fingerprint readers on both sides.
2Your measurement
Measure from the faceplate of your existing mortise to the centre of the square spindle hole. What does it read?
Order the 6085 mortise
60 mm backset, 85 mm centres. This is the one most Australian doors take.
Order the 4585 mortise
45 mm backset, 85 mm centres.
Order the 3585 mortise
If your door slides, order the 3585 hook bolt version instead — a straight bolt will not hold on a slider.
Order the 2885 mortise
If your door slides, order the 2885 hook bolt version instead.
You need a hook bolt
A straight bolt has nothing to grip on a sliding door. Measure your backset, then order the hook bolt version of that size — 2885 hook or 3585 hook.

Read this before you order
The manufacturer publishes no certification for this model. Not CE, not FCC, none. That is unusual and you should know it before spending $894.99. If you need documentation for a strata building, an insurer or a commercial fit-out, talk to us first — we would rather tell you now than after it is on your door.
No weather rating. Fit it under an eave, a porch or a roof. A facial recognition module and a screen are not things you want taking direct rain.
Doors under 40 mm will not work. Most Australian entry doors are 35 mm or 40 mm — if yours is 35 mm, this is the wrong lock. Measure the door edge before ordering.
Facial recognition is convenience, not perfection. Heavy rain, harsh backlight and a full face covering will all send you to the fingerprint reader. Every face-unlock lock on the market has the same limits.
The manufacturer's listing mentions warehouses in Mexico and Brazil. That is their copy, not ours — your order ships to you in Australia. Ask us for the current lead time before ordering.

Does the 60 mm backset mean it fits a standard Australian door?
The backset does, yes — 60 mm is the Australian standard. The catch is thickness: this lock starts at 40 mm and many Australian doors are 35 mm. Measure the edge of your door before ordering.
How fast does the face unlock work?
About a second as you walk up. That is the whole appeal — you do not stop and do anything.
Can someone open it with a photo of me?
It reads in three dimensions rather than as a flat image, which is what defeats a photograph. As with any biometric, treat it as very good rather than infallible, and keep a code as backup.
How often do I charge it?
It uses a built-in rechargeable battery and warns you well ahead. Set a reminder the first time it does.
Can I talk to someone at the door from work?
Yes — that is what the two-way intercom is for, through the app over Wi-Fi.
Is it certified for use in Australia?
The manufacturer publishes no certification for this model. If you need compliance paperwork, contact us before you order and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot supply.
